Alături de Xperia S, au mai fost anunţate încă trei smartphone-uri Sony de nouă generaţie: Xperia ion, Xperia NX şi Xperia acro HD. Xperia ion este exclusiv pentru reţeaua AT&T din Statele Unite, în vreme ce Xperia NX şi Xperia acroHD sunt destinate pieţei din Japonia.
